Book Selections for 2014 - 2015

At the June meeting, books were selected for the next year. They are:

November 20 - THE ORENDA by Joseph Boyden (group discussion recommended) - buffet lunch at SAIT Highwood Restaurant, 11:30am

December 11 - ALMOST A GREAT ESCAPE by Tyler Trafford (recommended by Jan) - hosted by Monique

January 15 - Ann will select a Mystery novel - hosted byAnn

February 19 - THE TIME IN BETWEEN by Maria Duenas - hosted by Haifa

*** Note that each book has a link you can click on to get a review - each is from a different site, so much time can be spent browsing different book suggestions on these...

*** Note that we will try a new discussion process for September:

- Everyone would give the selected book a mark out of 10:  just a number based on whatever criteria you want.

- Then, taking turns we defend our mark (a maximum 2 min statement ) – no discussion until everyone has their turn. You can pass if you want to.

- Then it’s a free for all, questions, points of view, etc.

Hopefully, this means everyone’s point of view is heard by everyone which prompts further discussion. So come prepared in Sept with a mark out of 10 for Indian Horse.
